Michael, I'm not sure which Jilin is more famous (the province or the city), so I've included the {{otheruses}} tag, which will link to the disambiguation page you created. Do you have a user account? If you don't why not start one? Thanks. - Andrew Haggard (Sapphire) 07:46, 24 June 2006 (EDT)

Thanks. I'd say the province is more famous. I haven't created a user account because I haven't needed to. Are there any great advantages to one? Michael 11:46, 24 June 2006 (UTC)

One. Instead of typing "Michael 11:46, 24 June 2006 (UTC)" every single time you leave comments all you have to do is type ~~~~
I don't know if that's an overwhelmingly convincing reason to sign up, but there are some other benefits:
  • Specialize search preferences, which might make your life easier when searching for something.
  • Helps people track who they are talking to and/or making changes
  • You actually get your username/real name on the bottom of the page as credit for working on the article. - Andrew Haggard (Sapphire) 07:57, 24 June 2006 (EDT)

What are the specialized search preferences? Michael 12:02, 24 June (UTC)

Lets say you are looking for Wikitravel:What is an article? and you try searching for it and you type "What is an article?" nothing will pop up on the search results page, because you didn't click "Search in namespace - Wikitravel." However, if you have a user account the software will remember your preferences and will always look in in the "Wikitravel" namespace for anything else you search for in the future. Did that make sense (I'm not great at giving directions)? - Andrew Haggard (Sapphire) 08:05, 24 June 2006 (EDT)

Well, I'm not sure how I found that article before, and I do see that I get no results using searching for "What is an article?". I'll think about it. Thanks. Michael 14:31, 24 June (UTC)
