Howdy! You're doing great work, thank you very much for it.

Suggestion: when you start a new page, try clicking on the "city" link just above the edit box. That will pre-fill the page with one of our article templates. I realize that a hill-station isn't a "city", per se, but we still need the same information for it.

Thanks again, and please feel free to create a user account if you want to. Let me know if you need anything else. --Evan 17:39, 13 September 2006 (EDT)

Counties as travel destinations[edit]

As mentioned to you before, we do not normally create US Counties as travel destinations. If you feel a county should be a destination, please go ahead and poplulate it with information. There are areas in the USA where counties apply, but Kansas is not one of them. Thanks! -- Tom Holland (xltel) 07:00, 11 October 2006 (EDT)

Moving articles[edit]

If you create a user account, you can move pages rather than copying-and-pasting. It's preferable since the history of the page is retained. --Evan 11:42, 22 December 2006 (EST)

Just to add to what Evan said... when you have a user account, you don't need to provide any identifying information about yourself. It's just a way for the Wiki to track all the changes made by you. You can even name the account AnonymousGuy or whatever. -- Colin 14:01, 2 January 2007 (EST)

Adding one more voice, only logged-in users can move an article. If you disambiguate an article by copying the old article and creating a new article instead of moving the original article you lose all author & history information, which is important to many people. The cleanups you're doing are appreciated, but by not having an account you've now erased the contribution history of several articles, which is kind of a big deal. PLEASE create an account. -- Ryan 14:11, 2 January 2007 (EST) *BUMP*

Wikitravel:Discover criteria[edit]

Thanks for your interest in keeping Wikitravel:Discover high-quality, but I think you may have gone too far. Note that the guidance says that referenced articles "should" have a status of Usable or above, not that they must have such status. Because the list of trivia there is not very long, we are being forced to use some material from Outline articles to avoid running out of stuff. I wish it weren't so, but since it is, I've reverted your changes. (Incidentally, I echo Ryan's entreaty to create an account.) -- Bill-on-the-Hill 09:38, 3 January 2007 (EST)

thanks very much 203 help me out somemore i will add them as i go and you can help edit. -- 12:01, 3 January 2007 (EST)

Hi, 203. I just wanted to take a second to say thanks for the immense amount of work you do on Wikitravel with the awarding of a Barnstar. I should probably work up an appropriately bombastic delivery for this award, something like:

In recognition of an awe-inspiring dedication to overall quality and organization of Wikitravel guides, I humbly offer this Barnstar to anonymous user You do a lot of great work that's of huge value to the international community of travellers.

Thanks for all your work. --Evan 00:04, 11 January 2007 (EST)

Adding my tip of the hat. Thanks for all you do. --OldPine 12:37, 16 December 2007 (EST)
