I am an Indonesian, was born in 1975 and grew up in Jakarta, Indonesia. I moved to Hanover, Germany in 2001 and lived there until 2005 while doing my PhD. I am currently living in Lausanne, Switzerland. I am a scientist, a cellular biologist to be more exact.
I started becoming Wikitravel contributor after finding the article about Lausanne, which is a star article, and thus helped me a lot to know my new city. I then found the page of Hanover almost empty and immediately started working on it. I think it's a pity to have nothing written about such a lively city like Hanover, and not to mention that it was going to be one of the World Cup 2006 host city.
I have just put myself as docent for Hanover and Jakarta, so please feel free to contact me through my email [email protected] (please remove the 'XYZ' first when emailing) or my talk page. I can probably also help you for other destinations in Indonesia and Germany but since I don't live there anymore I might not know the newest info. But I promise to try my best.
Hope I can contribute more later. My big vacation will be done at the end of the year and we plan to go to one great spot in Indonesia and another in Southeast Asia. If my research goes well and my boss agrees to pay for some conference trips, I will certainly travel more (there will be a big stem cell conference in Cairns next year!).
