Where I'm From[edit]

I grew up in rural Wellington, Ohio about 45 minutes southwest of Cleveland. Now I live in North Olmsted, Ohio, a suburb on Cleveland's West Side. I've lived here all my life through many warm wonderful summers and cold cloudy Northeast Ohio winters.

What I Do[edit]

After working in IT for many years, I opted out of the grind and am now working in photography. I specialize in panoramic photography and 360-degree virtual reality tours.

Photography, history, geography, and cartography are HUGE interests of mine, and I hope to put my talents to good use and help out Wikitravel.

Places I've Been[edit]

I've always had a wanderlust, but it wasn't until the last few years that I really began to indulge it. My wife and I camped as kids, but we didn't really camp much as adults until a few years ago. In 2015 we took our first big road trip out West and we've been hooked ever since! You can read more on our RealImaginaryLife travel blog.

United States[edit]

Of the 50 states, I've set foot in 36:

  • Alabama
  • California
  • Colorado
  • Connecticut
  • Florida
  • Georgia
  • Idaho
  • Illinois
  • Indiana
  • Iowa
  • Kansas
  • Kentucky
  • Maryland
  • Michigan
  • Minnesota
  • Missouri
  • Montana
  • Nebraska
  • Nevada
  • New Jersey
  • New York
  • North Carolina
  • North Dakota
  • Ohio
  • Oklahoma
  • Oregon
  • Pennsylvania
  • South Carolina
  • South Dakota
  • Tennessee
  • Utah
  • Virginia
  • Washington
  • West Virginia
  • Wisconsin
  • Wyoming

And I've been to the District of Columbia as well. Still haven't made it off the continent yet (does Key West count?), but I have been to the Niagara Peninsula in Ontario. The overseas stuff will happen eventually, but for now there's a lot to see in my own backyard.

National Parks[edit]

I've been to 16 national parks:

  • Badlands
  • Cuyahoga Valley
  • Everglades
  • Glacier
  • Grand Teton
  • Great Sand Dunes
  • Great Smoky Mountains
  • Mammoth Cave
  • Mount Rainier
  • Olympic
  • Rocky Mountain
  • Shenandoah
  • Theodore Roosevelt
  • Wind Cave
  • Yellowstone
  • Yosemite

By October 2017, the number of states should be at 38, and the number of national parks will go up to 25.
