Template talk:Outlinetopic

This template currently is using "Category:Outline itineraries". Was the intent to have an outline topic category, or to not use a special category here?

The outline itineraries are listed twice but with different formats: Category:Outline itineraries and Special:Whatlinkshere/Template:Outlineitinerary. Categories give us the first list but we'd have the second list anyway.

I was going to start adding this Outlinetopic to some of the 171 articles which have both templates {{outline}} and {{traveltopic}}, but wanted to be sure the template is right first.

With this change in deletion policy, folks may want to start looking at some of these topics to see if they are already really usable level even without any further editing. --Bill in STL 20:46, 14 September 2010 (EDT)

My mistake, the category should be correct now. If there is consensus to delete the Category:Outline itineraries topic then the Category:Outline topics topic should also be deleted. -- Ryan • (talk) • 14:08, 15 September 2010 (EDT)

Generally, we place status templates at the bottom of articles. For Literary travel, it has been placed at the top of the article. The edit history says: "(move outlinetopic to top to improve chances for rescue)". For this veryt brief article, either way it would likely be seen, but some are longer. Should these be at top or bottom. If top, should the similar "outlineitinerary" also be moved to top? ==Bill in STL 13:16, 15 September 2010 (EDT)

Template:Outlineitinerary is placed at the bottom of articles, so I would think it would be best to be consistent with that. -- Ryan • (talk) • 14:00, 15 September 2010 (EDT)
