Talk:Zheleznogorsk

Since this doesn't quite meet our Wikitravel:What's an article? rule-of-thumb (you can't sleep there if you can't actually visit), maybe it should be a note in the Get Out section of the nearest destination? Maj 17:33, 28 April 2007 (EDT)

It's kinda difficult to get permission to visit Pyongyang or Naypyidaw, but we have article for them. I'm sure Zheleznogorsk has facilities for visitors, so IMHO it's a destination. Jpatokal 17:35, 28 April 2007 (EDT)
Wake Island is another good example of this sort of permission-denied destination. Even if your average traveler can't get there, it could still make very interesting travel reading. Also, if it does open up, Zheleznogorsk would easily be one of my top picks for this region—I'd love to tour a former secret Soviet nuclear town, wouldn't you? --Peterfitzgerald Talk 17:56, 28 April 2007 (EDT)
It is possible for certain people to visit, and they can sleep there, so I think that makes it a valid destination. In fact, because you just said it couldn't be done - :) - I'm gonna go populate this article. (I managed to pull it off for Wake...) - Todd VerBeek 19:17, 28 April 2007 (EDT)
