Talk:Travel safety

This article is a first pass at creating a catch-all article for travel topics that correspond to the "Stay safe" article heading (as discussed on Talk:Travel topics#General travel topic articles). The idea is that topics about travel safety should be listed on this article first, and only when the information becomes "large and complex" (per the Wikitravel:What is an article? standard) should a separate article be considered. I've copied information from some of the stub articles such as Drugs back to this article and made the existing articles into redirects to emphasize the point that only when we have enough information to warrant a separate article should one be created. -- Ryan 19:10, 11 August 2006 (EDT)

Yeah, this is a good thing. I went looking for this topic when considering the last edit on Boston which gives tips for walking around the city at night safely. Would be much better to state that you can consider walking and then reference this article or a section of it. OldPine 07:35, 17 August 2006 (EDT)
