Hey, glad someone is paying attention to Samoa. You might want to think about weeding out a lot of the CIA crap-- I mean facts. take a look at Switzerland and Nepal for examples. At the least, remove the military stuff (unless that's your idea of a vacation). Majnoona

Righto, I'll start cutting out the extraneous information forthwith.

Incidentally, I'm paying attention to Samoa because it is a second home to me; my mother lives there, and my little brother. So I can certainly remember quite a few interesting details that would be of use to travellers. - Russell

Does it make sense to have Samoa spread out over so many pages? Samoa, Upolu, Savaii, Apia, seems like too many. It's not a big place. I think most of it could be compressed onto one page, at least until there's more content. Maybe a secondary page for Apia since there's quite a bit of stuff in that area. N1ywb

Islands should definitely have separate articles (as long as they have places to stay), and since Upolu's 1125, it's big enough to split into cities. Jpatokal 07:23, 10 July 2007 (EDT)
Yeah, you're right in that Savaii should have it's own article, it's pretty different from Upolu and there's a lot of content that should be generated on it. Upolu is the only other island worth mentioning, and Apia is the only city on it. I don't see a point in maintaining Saoma, Upolu and Apia as separate articles until there's more content. I don't have much more content to put in that's not commentary. Of course we want it to be orthogonal to the rest of wikitravel so maybe the articles should be separate anyway. A few of my friends have also been to Samoa recently, I'll see if they have anything to add. N1ywb 11:25, 10 July 2007 (EDT)
So I'd suggest Apia; Upolu for everything on the island outside Apia; and Savaii. Should the other islands go into Other islands (Samoa), or are there logical groupings worth noting? Eg. if Manono is just a short trip from Upolu and has nothing except that one fales (please define!), then it might as well be listed under Upolu. Jpatokal 12:21, 10 July 2007 (EDT)

Just to let you know that I live in Samoa and am able to check things out. --CloudSurfer 00:43, 31 July 2007 (EDT)

In the lodging section, there are no names for the various hotels in Apai. I'm sure it was an oversight, but names would sure be helpful! 14:15, 21 August 2007 (EDT)

Can someone in the know update the article to reflect any changes that have occured as a result of the recent Tsunami? For example I see that Taufua Beach Fales have unfortunately been destroyed.
