Link suggestion[edit]

I tried to add an external link to [1], but it was removed by an admin for conflicing with the external link policy: [Wikitravel:External links]

I would claim that the proposed website is idependent, primary information (not from an official government/tourism board source, but therefore includes information on negative aspects especially of the history of Salzburg) and neither an individual travellogue or travelguide (the latter one is arguable, since the site includes accommodation advice and a travel link directory and is after all designed to provide local information for future visitors). Please let me know what you think! Thanks, B.

Salzburg disambiguation[edit]

Does Salzburg (the city) override the region per the more famous rule? I've been to Salzburg and I think most people are referring to the city, rather than the region when they say "I've been to Salzburg". -- Sapphire(Talk) • 07:48, 15 May 2007 (EDT)

I've been there, and I think most people refer to the city when they Salzburg -- Upamanyuwikitravel( Talk )( Travel ) • 07:51, 15 May 2007 (EDT)
Yep, it's the city that steals the show. WindHorse 07:58, 15 May 2007 (EDT)

Is this disambig necessary?[edit]

I think that Salzburg the city is sufficiently more famous than Salzburg the state, at least for non-Austrians moderately geo-literate Americans living in Canada, that it's more of a hindrance than a help to have the disambiguators. Any objection to moving this page? --Evan 10:32, 3 March 2006 (EST)

I agree.I didn't even realize there was a Salzburg State. WindHorse 3 March 06
It should be moved, this disambiguation is ridiculous. --globe-trotter 13:18, 8 June 2010 (EDT)

Just wanted to bring my notice to attention. Is there any permission to use the pictures in the article? / 18:05, 26 February 2006 (EST)

Please see Wikitravel:Votes for deletion. If permission is not specifically obtained in 14 days then the images will be deleted. -- Ryan 18:07, 26 February 2006 (EST)

Hi all. I've made a few deletions on restaurants and hotels that I couldn't find any information. I've looked online for websites and/or reviews to flush out the listings...if I couldn't find any information then I deleted them. If anyone has first-hand experience or found proper info on those listings (phone #s, addresses, etc.) please feel free to revert my deletions! Thanks!
