Melbourne/South or Melbourne/South Melbourne[edit]

Er, I don't think it is accurate to label South Melbourne as Melbourne/South as the former is a specific suburb in Melbourne. Melbourne/South would be taken to mean the southern suburbs of Melbourne, which should also include Melbourne/St Kilda, Melbourne/Prahran etc, which are all further south than South Melbourne. Can I suggest we keep Melbourne/South Melbourne together with the other pages and leave Melbourne/South for the outer southern suburbs (like Brighton, Frankston etc), or consolidate all of them into a single Melbourne/South page.Slleong 03:43, 2 April 2007 (EDT)

I agree 100% with the previous comment. The current arrangement is not intuitive or clear. I second reverting the area back to Melbourne/South Melbourne. The suburbs of South Melbourne, Port Melbourne and Albert Park are a distinct district and a popular place to visit. The title Melbourne/South should be reserved for all suburbs South of the CBD.--AustShaun (talk) 02:05, 1 January 2018 (EST)
