Why is United Kingdom a "See also"? Shouldn't all this information be on United Kingdom? -- Evan 10:35, 6 Nov 2003 (PST)

Technically speaking, Great Britain is the island containing England, Scotland and Wales. Ireland is the island containing the republic with the same name and Northern Ireland. So, the United Kingdom and Great Britain are not really the same. In fact, the exact name of the country is the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. AFAIK, the other islands are not part of Great Britain, certainly not Faeroer. The question is, how do we want to handle these - sometimes subtle - differences in Wikitravel. OK, so, that's pretty technical. I'd think that that could just be a little note on the United Kingdom page, though, couldn't it? And a redirect to United Kingdom for Great Britain? -- Evan 11:02, 6 Nov 2003 (PST)
Alrighty, but you are dealing with the Irish here. Majnoona
OK, well, at this point, we had Great Britain, the British Isles, and the United Kingdom. I guess I just thought that was too many other places to have info. -- Evan 12:54, 6 Nov 2003 (PST)
Well, I thought it was more along the lines of the List of American States and United States and North America. In otherwords, a point of entry, not an info page. I guess the whole content pages/navigational pages issue is only going to get more confusing. Majnoona
