I went this season to the valle cochamo in february. its truly a dream and hope it stays that way. the refugio is small and cozy and the care taker Daniel is very friendly. have fun and dont miss it if your going to chile or south to patagonia.

Cochamo Valley is my favorite place in Chile[edit]

I have been to many places in the world and this one tops my list. It's a natural wonder, a bit of muddy hike to get in but well worth it. The natural water slide, granite walls and the arch over the river were some of my favorites. Don't let the German couple at Camp Aventura lead you to believe that the trail is too treatuous and that the place floods every time it rains. Nice people but a little over exaggerated. Suerte from B.C., Canada.

I am very confused by this article and Cochamó Valley. They seem to be the same? There are redirects going all over the place. Should the two be merged? --Burmesedays 23:26, 31 March 2010 (EDT)

VFD Discussion[edit]

Anyone familar with Chile? would Cochamó or Cochamó Valley make most sense to keep? --Stefan (sertmann) talk 13:05, 25 December 2009 (EST)

Keep and merge the 2 articles. This question should probably be discussed on the article talk pages using merge tags, rather than here, as a VFD. A page under both article names can exist, even though the same article is served; that is what a redirect page is for. - Huttite 14:53, 12 January 2010 (EST)

Result: Merge template added for Cochamó Valley. -- Ryan • (talk) • 21:48, 21 May 2010 (EDT)

merge Cochamó and Cochamó Valley?[edit]

These should not be merged. Cochamó is the village from where guides take tourists to Cochamó Valley, 5-6 hours away by horse, as mentioned in the existing description.
