The small and typical balinese town is quite near the sea, where you can see different ceremonies and relax and swim. There are many temples opened for the tourists, but the real experience is to see them "in action": that means, when there is a tempel festival "odalan" or a different one. In the town you find actually festivals or ceremonies all the time… there is wedding, tempelfest, cremation, different small tempelfests, procession… But also great Gamelan Ensembles con be heard at night, when they rehearse or during one of teh many performances.
Sukawati has a famous regional Art Market "pasar seni" - here you can buy all, from souvenirs, to handcraft, Art, sculptures, furniture, bascets and many many small exotic handcraft.
