Get in[edit]

By bus[edit]

There are frequent minibuses from Ploieşti (40 minutes - one hour travel time) and several daily buses from Bucharest (two hours and half); some of their schedules are available on [1]

By train[edit]

Slanic is reached by a railway. There are three-four commuter trains daily from Ploieşti (50 minutes travel time), timetables are available on the rail operator CFR website [2].

By car[edit]

Slanic is 30 km from Ploiesti and the road is in good condition. It goes through numerous villages which slows down the trip. Slanic is also connected through a secondary road to Teisani, just north of Valenii de Munte. The road quality is not that good but scenery is remarkable. From Teisani you can either go north to Cheia and Brasov or go south in nearby Valeni where there is more shopping, restaurants, N. Iorga Museum. You can also get from Slanic directly to Valea Prahovei taking west on a secondary road from Varbilau, the village 5 km south of Salnic.(through Livadea, Alunis and ending in Brebu-Doftana where it joins DN1)
