Sarlat is the end of the train line that connects with Bordeaux in west. The railway station is around 15 minutes' walk to the town centre.

It is possible to get an express from Paris to Souillac from where trains are usually met by a bus which continues to Sarlat (see below).

There is no Car Rental at Souillac station (a better option for Car Rental is at the previous station Brive-la-Gaillarde then one hour's drive to Sarlat).

By bus[edit]

TransPérigord connects Sarlat with Souillac and Périgueux.

The bus route between Sarlat and Souillac operates 1-3 times daily in each direction [3]. A one-way ticket costs €2.
