Santana is a port in Amapá, about 25 km southwest of central Macapá. Macapense nightlife comes this way, and it is also where the larger passenger boats depart for Amazonian destinations.

Taxis to Macapá can be negotiated as low as R$30, alternatively there is a public that costs R$3 and can be caught from the Mercado area 10 minutes walk from the port

Ferry and barge service is available at the southern end of town. Ferry service to Belem leave ~10:00 AM and takes ~22 hours. Barge service for cars and motorcycles leaves 17:00 PM and takes 34 hours. Ferry service can accommodate motorcycles and private cabins are available.
