Sandhan valley, "The Great Canyon" in the Sahyadri ranges which is combination of a canyon and a valley. Located in the Ahmednagar district, India, near the famous fort Ratangad. Sandhan valley is undoubtedly The Valley of Shadows.
Its best to spend two days in Sandhan valley.
On day one either you can reach and setup you camp in Samrad village or in sandhan valley. But its better to stay in village, facility is good. On second day you can start your trek and reach back to Mumbai/Pune.
Mumbai to Igatpuri. Igatpuri to Samrad Village (Base Village for Sandhan Valley).
Reach to Kasara by local. From Kasara to Samrad Village by local Jeep/Taxis. A jeep will cost around 2k and can accommodate 10 persons.
Base Village is Samrad Village. If you start trek in morning at around 7-8 am you will reach to Dehene village at around 5-6 pm in evening from where you can reach to Asangaon local station to reach to Mumbai.
The difficulty level for trek is moderate. There is one big rappelling spot (60 feet approx.) which need technical expertise and two small rappelling spots( 20-25 feet approx) which needs rope ladder.

This man is trained guide for Sandhan Valley, Ratangad and Alang & Mandangarh. He provides technical help (Rappelling etc) and has all necessary equipments. He can provides accommodation and meal in Samrad village as well as in valley.
There is no shop in village please carry all food items along while going for trek
