San Pablo City
Maharlika Highway passes the outskirts of the town. Some buses bound for Manila pass by San Pablo and there are jeepneys to Calamba City. From Manila, take the SLEX and exit to Sto. Tomas Exit. There are directions to San Pablo.
San Pablo City is just a small city so you can visit the plaza ( there are many shops there ) or you can go to the SM ( located along the Maharlika Highway ).
Sampaloc Lake is beautiful, almost in the city centre - good markets, great old church - nearby are the other 6 lakes, Villa Escudero (worth a visit), and Alaminos (on the main road about 7 km before San Pablo) which is the departure point for Hidden Valley springs (also worth a visit, even if rather expensive).
Visit San Pablo on the 2nd week of January because the Cocofest is celebrated during that time ( there are many booths or souvenir shops, bands and musics ).
Buko pie, espasol, ampaw, pinipig, kesong puti (white cheese) shing-a-ling and tamarind sweets.
