Porthcawl is a small seaside town in Mid Glamorgan, South Wales.

Portcawl is a traditional holiday resort and in its heyday its beaches were very popular with holiday makers from the nearby south Wales valleys. Beaches include:

  • Trecco Bay
  • Rest Bay
  • Coney Beach

Coney Beach features a traditional fairground complete with amusement arcades.

Jolly Sailor - Great pub grub. A little pricey but this chef know's what the customers want! A Touch of Class - Great service and a tasty treat. The Fairways - Fair play to the Fairways! They are building a beautiful conservatory to make sure that the building matches its delicious carvery. Rose and Crown - The jewel in Porthcawl's restaurant scene! Le Raj - A taste of India. Jaipur - A taste to remember. Fulgoni's - A taste to forget.

Jolly Sailor - The oldest pub in Porthcawl. Sits proudly opposite Newton green. Perfect for a summer slurp or a winter warmer!

The Waterfront - Beautiful views across the Bristol Channel. Get there early in the summer months as this bar is the number one place in town when the sun has got its hat on!

Rose and Crown - A little off the beaten track... but its embience can't be beaten!

Sports Bar - A little crass, but 17 screens to watch all the latest goings on!

The Pier - Called 'Oh Dear' by locals but has been recently renovated. The jury's still out on this one!
