Plano is in Texas. It is north of Dallas.

Get in[edit]

Eastern Plano is easily accessible from US highway 75 (Central Expressway), which connects to interstate 20 and runs straight through the City. Western Plano is easily accessible from the Dallas North Tollway. The nearest airport is DFW International, which is approximately 30 minutes southwest of Plano. The public rail system, DART, does connect the airport to Plano. However, you must ride the train all the way through downtown Dallas, so make sure to allow enough time. Taxis and cars for hire are readily available.

Get around[edit]

Driving a car is by far the best way (and likely the only reasonable way) to travel in Plano. However, there is a public transit system, DART, with several bus lines and a light-rail line (the red line) that connects Plano to Dallas. A day ticket on DART costs US $5.00, $2.50 (Reduced for students with High School ID, Seniors 65+ and Children ages 5-14). Plano is a very large city, and a bike will not allow you to get where you want to be in a reasonable amount of time.
