Pińczów (Peentschoov) is a small town in Świętokrzyskie.
During 16 Pińczów was an important reformation center. Then it was bought by Roman Catholic Myszkowski family who maded the city a multucultural place inhabited by Poles, Jews, Scots, Italians, Germans and French people. It was also an important center of Jewish culture.
There're direct buses from Katowice, Kielce or Kraków. You can get here from many Silesian Voivodeship cities as f.ex. Sosnowiec. Kraków airport's located about 1,5 h from the town. Katowice and Rzeszów airports're located 2 h from Pińczów.
You can walk on Nida river or do canoeing on it. Tourist train Express Ponidzie also stops here. Pińczów's also popular among paragliders.
