Ostrow Wielkopolski  is a city in Wielkopolskie Voivodship, in Poland. It is situated in the southern part of Wielkopolska, one of the largest and the best developed regions of Poland as regards economy. At the moment the town has around 73 thousand inhabitants and this number places it as the fifth agglomeration in that region.
One can say that Ostrów Wielkopolski lies in the centre of a triangle whose points are Poznań, Wrocław and Łódź. It is about 100 km away from each of these cities.
