Durham Region Transit (DRT) is the regional public transit operator in Durham Region, east of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Its headquarters are at 605 Rossland Rd East in Whitby, Ontario, and there are regional centres in Ajax, Whitby, and Oshawa.

As of July 28, 2008, DRT has introduced a unified route number system using a three digit format, with the first digit indicating the municipality the route operates in: 1: Pickering 2: Ajax 3: Whitby 4: Oshawa/Courtice 5: Clarington 9: Regional routes

Teddy's Restaurant is an Oshawa institution. Located at the corners of King Street West and Park Road, it's easy to get to by car. There's almost always a lineup out the door for dinner, but don't fret - the line moves fast. Usually no more than a 15 to 20 minute wait at the longest. Servings are reasonable, and the prices are average. Known for great deli sandwiches, strawberry pie, Teddy's famous homemade dressing and more.
