Orschwiller is a commune in the Bas-Rhin department in Alsace in northeastern France. It lies at the foot of the Château du Haut-Kœnigsbourg, one of France's most-visited tourist destinations.
The village itself boasts several beautiful half-timber houses While the commune of Orschwiller is the administrative seat of Haut-Koenigsbourg castle, there is no direct road connection between the two. Visitors have to pass either through the village of Kintzheim or through Saint-Hippolyte.
The Route du Vin (wine road) passes through the village from north to south, inviting travelers to explore local vinyards and production techniques. It connects 73 communes in Alsace.
