The nearest airport is the Kansas City International Airport (MCI) which is about 40 miles north of Olathe. All the major rental car companies are available at the Aiport.

I-35 runs right through the city, providing major exits at 151st St, 135th St, and 119th St. US-169 also runs north-south into the city from Spring Hill, and US-69 runs north-south from Fort Scott.
For fine dining you need to go to Kansas City. There are good restaurants in Overland Park as well.

These include Hampton Inn, Residence Inn and Fairfield Inn on South Strangline Road.These are all right next to each other.Rates vary between $ 90 to $ 169 per night.Wifi is free in all these hotels. All of them have a good breakfast which opens at 6:30 am.There is a heated pool and a few treadmills for fitness. There are a number of chain restaurats within a half mile from any of these hotels. There is also a La Quinta Inn on West 151st Street, about a mile down the road from these hotels. For budget travellers, there is an Econo Lodge  with rooms at $ 50 a night. This is approxiately 3.5 miles south of the hotel on S Strangline Road.
