Nanuya Lailai Island is an island just next to the famous Blue Lagoon and Turtle Island in the Yasawa Islands of Fiji.

Getting there[edit]

Awesome Adventures Fiji [3] provide the Yasawa Flyer as the primary transport to and through the Yasawa Islands from Nadi. If you are transferring to Nanuya Laillai from within the Yasawas, a local water taxi may be a cheaper option in good weather, however be prepared for it to take a lot longer and possibly running out of fuel! Awesome Adventures have an office in the main street where you can book the Yasawa Flyer and the boat departs Denarau at 8:30am daily.

Get around[edit]

Blue Lagoon Cruises [4] offers small ship cruising around Nanuya Lailai. They have a seclude stretch of beach where they anchor off a coconut tree and guests relax on Nanuya Beach. The MV Fiji Princess cruises around the Yasawa Islands region, showcasing beautiful islands such as Nanuya Lailai to travellers.

See[edit][add listing]

Do[edit][add listing]

- Go for a walk over the island. You can see the native cassava gardens, great views of the other islands and the Blue Lagoon, as well as get a sense of the difference between the windward and the leeward sides of the island. Take water with you, it can get hot.
- Go snokeling in the Blue Lagoon. It has been declared a fish sanctuary and has great fish and some great coral. If you are lucky you can spot sea-horses in the grass, extremely rare fish, or a sea snake (obviously give the snake it's space).
- Go scuba diving (and/or get certified). The Dive shop on Nanuya serves most of the upper the Yasawa chain. The instructors are both extremely knowledgeable and great people. There is also a vast array of great dives just a short boat ride away. The rental gear is also well-maintained and reasonably priced.
- Relax at the beachside resort bar
