Monterosso is one of the villages of Cinque Terre, in Italy. Travelling northward, Monterosso is the fifth village and the most touristed, since it boasts a proper beach and is home to several larger, fancier hotels. Like the other villages, it is a shining gem along the sea.

Get in[edit]

Monterosso is easily accessible by train from nearby cities including Pisa and Genoa. Parking is somewhat limited but available if coming by car.

It is along the Cinque Terre hiking route, access to which costs 7.5 Euros.

Get around[edit]

Monterosso is a small town which you can easily explore on foot. There are a limited number of taxis available if needed (3 as of 2014).

Neighboring towns can be accessed via the local trains or via hiking trails.
