Eat[edit][add listing]

A number of restaurants in Victoria serve fresh food and meats. Juice is slightly expensive (>$5USD per cup). Seafood is relatively inexpensive, and island curry meats are as well.

There are not many stores open later beyond Victoria. Unless you are near 24-hour stores, you will want to stock up on food for your stay - or else find yourself late at night without snacks or food.

Drink[edit][add listing]

Mahe's nightlife is concentrated in Victoria.

Stay safe[edit]

Seychelles has a cellular service and fees for sim cards and internet/3g service are relatively low ( <$50). You should bring a smartphone such as iPhone or even an iPad LTE so you have access to Google Maps and are able to call your hosts if necessary.

During night-time, bus service shuts down. The roads, paths and walk ways are excessively dark and you may want to keep a rechargeable flashlight with you if you have not rented a vehicle. Some stray animals such as dogs, spiders and bats exist and may be frightening at night.
