Luding (泸定) is a small town in Ganzi prefecture of Sichuan province in China.


It's a stopover point between Chengdu and Kangding, and it's famous for its historical suspension bridge.

Luding Bridge

  • Bridge over Dadu river. It dates back from the Qing dinasty, and through the history it was important place for crossing the road between Sichuan and Tibet. During the Long March of the Red Army in 1935, the bridge took an important role in "The Battle of Luding Bridge".
