Los Capaes is in Coastal Lowlands, Ecuador.


Capaes is a suburb or "urbanisacion" of the town of Santa Elena in Santa Elena province, located on the Ruta del Spondylus. It has a small surf break and a clean 6 km beach. It is the home of one of the most upmarket gated communities with beachfront properties in the Salinas / Santa Elena peninsula. Nearby are two other gated communities Herrandua and Villa Marina.
