Ljusdal is a town in western Hälsingland.


Ljusdal is a relatively small town, and tourist facilities are mostly located in the nearby ski resort of Järvsö 15km to the south.

Get in[edit]

Ljusdal have no airport of it's own, the nearest international airport is Stockholm-Arlanda. Train services are however plentiful, SJ [3] InterCity and X2000 trains from Stockholm via Uppsala and Gävle (continuing to Östersund) departs every two hours. Local trains between Ljusdal and Gävle via Bollnäs is also avalible.

  • Järnvägs, Norra Järnvägsgatan 40, +46(0)651-15295 (), [1]. Opens 11AM on M-Fr, 1PM Saturdays and 5PM on Sundays, closing times are flexible. A somewhat legendary place that's been around in on form or another since 1880. Attracts people from all over Hälsingland (and further away too). Atlest one live band playing each weekend.  edit
