Air Côte d'Ivoire offers direct flights from Abidjan to Korhogo several days a week. The approximate cost of a ticket is $150 round-trip.
Korhogo is easily reached by bus from Banfora in Burkina Faso (by TCV bus) or from Bouake/Abijan (MTK and Jaguar have the most modern busses) at least 2 daily starting in the morning in Abijan or Korhogo.
Visit Wananiere Village de Tisserand about 15 minutes outside of the town near Mont Korhogo. A vast amount of lokal cloth is produced in the villag with traditional methods. They also sell everything from table cloths to handy bags in various motives and colors. You can also find their products in many souvenir markets around the country. Take a Taxi and ask them to wait for you while you get a tour and do some shopping. Expect to pay about 5000 FCFA for the taxi there and back and for table cloths 10000 FCFA upwards.
You can eat at the Mont Korhogo which offers western and traditional cuisine. However, expect that you might be alone there. The restaurant "la Venice" offers a garden and good cuisine.
The most well known hotel is the Hotel Mont Korhogo (+225 36 850270) which is located ca. 100M from the market up the hill. It has over 55 rooms, swimming pool and all the other amenities. However, it has the charm of a 70ies hotel and is most of the time quite empty.
The "la Rose Blanche" is a nice little hotel with only a few rooms up the hill, so make sure you have a reservation (+225 09240073).
The Hotel Tamaran is located opposite the police station ca. 50m from the Mont Korhogo and offers simple rooms (15k FCFA/18k FCFA).
