Palm Springs International Airport (IATA: PSP), , a mid-sized airport located in the nearby city of Palm Springs. Daily flight connections serve most major cities throughout the United States and Canada on most major airlines. It is located about 70 miles south of Indian Wells and has two daily flights on United Airlines. Imperial County's small airport has free parking and a motel on-site, but there are no public transportation connections to Indian Wells.
LA/Ontario International Airport (IATA: ONT) in Ontario, about 100 miles to the west of Indian Wells, is a mid-sized international airport served by most major airlines. There is no public transportation to Indian Wells from Ontario Airport.
Bermuda Dunes Airport  is just a few miles from Indian Wells and is the nearest airport. This airport is accessed by private aircraft. Private jet charter services are provided at this airport by Desert Jet .
The neighboring city of Indio features international bus service from two major companies, Greyhound and Crucero  . Connecting buses to Phoenix, Bakersfield, and Los Angeles are every 15 to 30 minutes. At least six direct buses serve Mexicali, BC from Indio's bus station daily with additional connecting service available to Ciudad Juarez and Tijuana. Sun Line's local bus routes provide a connection from the bus station in Indio to Indian Wells. Indio's current bus terminal is scheduled to be relocated to a new intermodal transit center at 83100 Indio Boulevard in the near future.
Amtrak California's  Thruway Bus Service Route 19b serves neighboring Palm Desert twice daily, with direct connections to Amtrak trains in Bakersfield. The bus stop is located at 44449 Towne Center Way, sharing a bus stop with Sunline on the west side of Westfield Mall. Route 19B originates in Indio and also stops at Palm Springs Airport and San Bernardino's train station. Amtrak California's Thruway Service is especially useful if you are traveling by train to or from either the Bay Area or Sacramento, as it bypasses Los Angeles.
