Iğdır is in Iğdır.
Iğdır is a small city, with little interest but with some charm. It is very relax although the near by borders of Azerbaijan, Iran & Armenia. The population is a mix of Azeris and Kurds. It feels like a small village where everybody seem to know each other. It's a nice over night stop.
You can come from Kars on a shared van (25TLY). Or when coming from Naxcivan by hitchhiking from the Azeri/Turkish Border.
Iğdır is pretty small and you can get along by foot. When arriving from Naxcivan, every shared taxi will take you from the remote bus station to the city center.
The main attraction is to sit in the park near the big mosque and drink tea while people watching.
There's a small market with some cloth shops. Restaurants and Doners are easy to find.
The usual Turkish food, with some special dishes coming from south-east Turkey (Diyarbakir and etc).
Every 1-2 hours there are shared vans to Kars. 25TLY.
