George Town, Cayman Islands
George Town is in Cayman Islands.
George Town is the capital and largest city in the Cayman Islands. It is known for it's award-winning coral reefs, luxury shopping centers and a magnet for banks and anything tax related. The city has a population of about 41,000 people, making it the most populous city. It is also the most diverse, with more than half of the city's population being immigrants. Most Caymanians live in the suburbs, outside of George Town, but you can always find a local to help you with directions or where to find the best Caymanian cuisine on the island.
Cayman Islands National Museum
The Cayman Islands National Museum is located in downtown George Town. It is a building filled with history and even was once the old court building. The Museum preserves and displays many different aspects of Caymanian heritage.
Oasis Aqua Park
This most recent development is designed to give 'straight off the ship' visitors an hour or two to soak up the sun and have fun before going on bus tours around the rest of the island. Despite opening fairly recently, the Oasis Aqua Park is already a favorite among visitors and locals alike!
