Gaiman is in Chubut.
Gaiman is a small town on the Chubut River around 17km west of Trelew. Gaiman and the surrounding area is noted for its founding as a Welsh colony and as such has several Welsh tea houses, and buildings constructed in a traditional Welsh fashion. Various shops, cafes and so on sell trinkets and the local regional museum focuses on the Welsh founders.
Local buses serve Gaiman from Trelew from where you can catch long distance buses to Buenos Aires and other major destinations around the country.
To travel on the local bus to Gaiman from Trelew you will need to buy a electronic card (20 AR$ Feb '15) and then top-up at least the 13 AR$ (Feb '15) single fare to Gaiman, unless that is you have enough coins to place in the machine on the bus.
Gaiman is small enough to be seen by foot. Pick up a map at the local tourist information centre.
The regional historical museum (10 AR$, Feb '15) housed in the former railway station at the crossing of Sarmiento and 28 de Julio features a collection of artifacts and information about the original Welsh colonialists.
Several Welsh tea houses in town offer tea and cakes for around 160 AR$ per person.
