Englewood (New Jersey)
The city is easily accessible from Route 4 West directly off the George Washington Bridge. There are two exits you can take at that point: the first one takes you into Jones Road, part of the upper-class suburban district, and the second will lead you to Grand Avenue, one of the main streets in the city that is populated with residential buildings, car dealerships, restaurants, and more. Follow Grand Avenue for about 1 mile to get to Palisade Avenue, the main drag of Englewood.
You can also take the #166 New Jersey Transit bus line from New York City Port Authority or the #178 or #186 from the GWB bus terminal in Upper Manhattan.
The city of Englewood is in a downhill setting, with the highest part of the hill beginning in the eastern part of the city, and gradually descending as you travel west. Most parts are easy to get around with sidewalks, although traveling by car is recommended. There is also a commuter shuttle service which takes you around the city. The setup is quite simple; the upper-class residential ward spans across the eastern part of the city while the business district spans throughout the western area. Palisade Avenue serves as the main drag, with less homes and more apartment buildings, and a good portion of the city's businesses.
