Danba is a small minority town in a narrow valley in Ganzi Autonomous Prefecture of Sichuan, surrounded by mountains where there are some incredibly beautiful villages. It's a good place to be as a base for exploring some of them. Danba is apparently the richest Tibetan town in Sichuan, and besides its beautiful villages it's famous all over the province for beautiful girls.
Most of the villages are within 10 km radius from Danba town. There are vans that transport passengers to each of these villages for 10 RMB each way. However, they don't have a schedule and might leave only when they are full. Hitchhiking is relatively easy, and if there are cars on these roads, they will most probably stop.

There are plenty of houses to sleep, accommodation price varies from 40 - 100 rmb per night, depending what you want.
- Zhonglu Village
- The narrow steep road brings you to another ethnic village, less visited than Jiaju, but equally beautiful. The village is surrounded by forest, so lovers of nature might find it interesting. Free of charge.
- Suopo Village
- This village is the most famous because of the number of ancient watchtowers built from stone and mud. They are more than one thousand years old, and were established in order to exorcise the demons, and latter to protect the villagers from enemies.
