Culross is in Fife. Culross is a charming village some 10 miles west of Dunfermline, in Fife. It has a palace, abbey and many fine and restored buildings from the 16th and 17th century.

Get in[edit]

It is easily reached from Edinburgh and Glasgow, and is well worth a one day trip.

By Bus[edit]

Buses run every hour or so from Dunfermline and Stirling. Stagecoach 78 takes about half an hour from Dunfermline [1]. There are connections at Dunfermline from Edinburgh.

By Train[edit]

The nearest station is Dunfermline.

The Palace, Study and Town House are in the care of the National Trust for Scotland [2]. These are open afternoons only between Mid-March and the end of October. The restored town is a rare example of a 17th century burgh.
