Cricklade is beautiful town on the edge of the Cotswolds in Wiltshire.
Cricklade is a small town of about 4,000 people in north Wiltshire, very close to the border with Gloucestershire. It is roughly halfway between Swindon and Cirencester. Its North Meadow has roughly 90% of the UK's snakeshead fritillary flowers
Cricklade's North Meadow is an excellent spot - the best in the country - for seeing the rare snakeshead fritillary flower
There are many good pubs in Cricklade, such as the White Hart, the Red Lion or the Vale Inn. There are also several Indian restaurants, a Turkish kebab shop, a Chinese, a Thai and a typical British 'greasy spoon' café in Stacey's.
