Comalcalco

Comalcalco is a city in Tabasco, Mexico. It is best known among tourists for its Mayan archaeological site, which is the largest in Tabasco and distinguished from other Mayan sites by its use of brick-and-mortar construction techniques.

Get in[edit]

From the Bus and Combi station on Hermano Bastar Zozaya in Villiahermosa take a Combi as it only takes an hour to get to the town of Comalcalco and the Combi station.At the end of the street you will see the Mercado and the taxi stand.A taxi to the site was 50 pesos.

Get around[edit]

A very interesting place and of the beaten path. Not quite like ancient Rome as someone wrote on their blog. No Pyramids to climb here! Be sure to vosit the Museum and see some of the various makers marks an art in themselves and some of the European facial features on some heads.
