By train[edit]

The railway station is around ten minutes walk from the town centre and is served by four Irish Rail trains a day (except Sundays) providing links to Carrick-On-Suir, Waterford, Cahir and Tipperary. Connections to/from Dublin, Cork and Limerick can be easily made by changing at Limerick Junction. The railway line through South County Tipperary is particularly scenic. Passengers commencing their journey at Clonmel can buy tickets from the conductor onboard the train.
