- Mekedatu and Sangama are two places next to each other, so people call this Mekedatu/sangama.
- Chunchi Falls, about 85km from Bangalore City (By bus from Kempegowda Bus Stand (Majestic) to Kanakapura, from there private bus or shared rickshaw to Chunchi Falls. By car take NH 209). A beautiful, remote waterfall that makes for a great day trip. But the roads might be quite bad and it will be best if you bring your own food. (12.35,77.45) edit
- Mekedatu, (about 98 km south of the city). A place where the waters of the Cauvery River are squeezed through a narrow ravine. There are no restaurants in the area. edit
