China Town of Yangon is also called "仰光唐人街(yang guang tang ren jie) in Chines.It was established by British Colonial during 1850.It is located in downtown area, Latha Township.Along the 17th,18th,Sin Ohn tan,19th,20th,latha,21st,22th,BoYwe street, there are many Chinese restaurants open here. Tourists who love Chinese food can eat more authentic food. This is the best place to go for street food ,outside seating.There are also have two large temple, Keng Hock Keong temple and guang dong guan yin temple where you can take the fantastic photos.

Near 22th street, you can find the Chinese old libary.The best starting point for exploration is 19th street.A lot of restaurant are found at the end of 19th street.19th street is located between Anwratha Street and Mahabandoola Road in Latha township.19th street is not that hard to find (except during night time).The whole entire Chinatown used to crowded at night. All taxi drivers in Yangon can take you to this place at night and also can ask your hotels, hostels for the location.The China Town is more lively in the nignt time. It is also one of the best place to taste Myanmar Beer and Myanmar Barbecue. It really cheap just within 1000MMK for one glass of beer.l recommend you to walk around the China town during chinese new year.

Every year, According to the Yangon Region Government’s approval, the Fujian Chinese National Association host to celebrate the Chinese new year festival.It inculde Night Market, Lion Dance Competition, firework, game activities, photo booths, wearing Chinese traditional dress for free, writing chinese character and other activity.You can enjoy the colorful and beautiful lanterns hanging everywhere. Chinese lanterns play a significant role in yearly pring festival. This is a close packed area of streets with distinct areas selling Chinese products. It does have plenty of lively action.
