Boseong, and its surrounding Boseong County are famed for their green tea plantations, which, far from being merely utilitarian, are artistically contoured over and around the local hills.
The best way to get to Boseong from Seoul is by bus. Seoul -> Gwangju -> Boseong
Step 1. There are 2 bus terminals for city Boseong (보성). Dong Seoul bus terminal(동서울 버스 터미널) and Express bus terminal(고속버스터미널)
Step 2. Find ticket booth for city 'Gwangju'(광주)
Step 3. Get off bus at ‘Gwangju (광주)’ intercity bus terminal. Transfer bus for city Boseong(보성).
You can also get to Boseong from Busan or Masan. There are two buses leaving Masan Bus Terminal that go directly to Boseong (보성). One leaves at 14:00, the other at 16:30. The trip will take around two and a half hours.
Boseong's Daehan Dawon Tourist Tea Plantation and surrouning tea fields are the primary reason most tourists visit Boseong.
Boseong Green Tea
When Koreans think of Boseong, they think of green tea. although Green Tea may not be the drink of choice for most Koreans it would only be right to participate in a Korean tea ceremony when visiting the Boseong tea plantations. Boseong produces just under half of Koreas green tea.
Boseong Tourist Motel is in the middle of town near the bus terminal
Just like in the rest of Korea, internet cafes, known as PC Bang (look for signs showing PC방) are plentiful in Boseong, these provide high speed internet acces and modern desktop usage for around US$1 an hour.
