Travel Warning WARNING: Please note that after heavy rains and storms many valleys around Dolomites are unaccessible and suffered floodings, landslides and devastation. Several roads are blocked, dozens of towns and villages are still without power, water, telephone. [1]

The province of Belluno is in the Veneto region of Italy.


  • Belluno - small but pretty city centre surrounded by the Alps it is a good starting position for trekking trails
  • Feltre - picturesque medieval town with a nice castle
  • Mel - nice little medieval town
  • Cortina d'Ampezzo - place with spectacular views of the Dolomites where you can relax and walk in the summer and ski in the winter. The Olympic Wintergames in 1956 helped it become a city known around the world

  • Dolomites - a spectacular mountain range covering most of the province, a perfect place for skiing and hiking and also a Unesco World Heritage Site
  • Val di Zoldo - and the whole Val Zoldana, another famous ski area in the winter and home of some of the finest italian ice-cream makers.
