Bastogne is in the Wallonia region of Belgium.


Curial town in the Battle of the Bulge, the last major German offensive of WWII on the western front. The American forces of the 101 Airborne held this critical crossroad which held up the Germans. The 101 did this against overwhelming odds. Famous phase "Nuts" was the American reply to the Germans when asked to surrender.

Located in the Ardenne forest. Most go for its historical and heroic events which occurred during WWII.

Bus transportation into Bastogne is from the nearby town of Libramont (€3.5)(Bus route 163b) or Liege (€5.5)(Bus route 1011). There is no train station in Bastogne.

You can take the bus from either Luxembourg City Central Train Station (Flixbus) or Luxembourg City Airport (Flibco).

Bastogne is known predominantly for its extensive tunnel network and horticultural backgrounds. Home to some of the most exquisite jambroueé flowers which only flower on public holidays, this flower can be used as a remedy for minor alements.
