Barichara

Barichara is a village in the Santander department of Colombia. It is widely acknowledged as one of the best preserved and most beautiful colonial villages in Colombia. It attracts large number of tourists, and the village has now adapted to this, with large numbers of middle-to-high-end restaurants and hotels.

Get in[edit]

Buses depart regularly from San Gil terminalito located in Carrera 10 with Calle 17 between 6 am amd 8.30 pm (5,000 COP / 40 min). You can get there from the main bus terminal by taxi for 5,000 COP (10/18).

Expect accommodation to be a lot more expensive than in less touristic places.
