Badlapur is a city in Thane District of Maharashtra state in India. Badlapur city is a group of 4 villages namely, Katrap, Kulgaon, Badlapur & Manjarli. The actual "Badlapur" village is approx. 3.5 km from the main city centre.

The downtown is the railway station area & it is usually very crowded.
Badlapur is divided into two. East & West (divided by railway lines) West Badlapur is where the old market is located. East Balapur houses the town deity "Gaondevi".
