Arnold is a census-designated place in the Sierra Nevada region of California, and is located in Calaveras County.

Calaveras Big Trees State Park is located in Arnold, with some amazingly huge sequoias. One giant tree was cut down and the stump used as a dance floor.

  • South of Arnold, near Sonora, is Columbia State Historic Park, a well-preserved Gold Rush-era town. Stagecoach rides are available, as are other various historical activities. Be sure to pick up some sarsaparilla in the town saloon.
